Dr. Virginia Bishop, MD, MPH – Director
Dr. Virginia Bishop is the founder and director of YES! She is an assistant professor in Preventive Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She earned her degree in medicine from Southern Illinois University and her Master’s of Public Health from George Washington University. She is affiliated with the Northwestern University Institute for Public Health and Medicine and the Northwestern University Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (NUCATS). Her interests include school health and adolescent health issues.
Chantal Moore, BA – Program Manager
Chantal joined as the Program manager in 2016. She earned her degree from DePaul University in Sociology with a concentration in health and health services. Her previous experience in pediatric health research motivated her to get more involved in the community and Chicago's youth which led her to YES!
Sandra Ortiz, BA – Health Educator
Sandra Ortiz began her work with the YES! program as a high school student at Roberto Clemente Community Academy. She excelled as a YES! Youth Health Educator and even helped to lead the summer program after her senior year of high school. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Arts degree and has returned to the YES! program as a Health Educator. She is a native Chicagoan and enjoys being able to give back to her community through her work with our youth.
