“The HPV vaccine has more side effects and is more dangerous than other vaccines.” – Female, 22

Not true! While getting a shot may seem scary, the main side effects of the HPV vaccine are pain and swelling where the shot was given, headache, and nausea. The HPV vaccine protects your reproductive system; it doesn’t harm it. If you're worried about the vaccine, then be sure to talk to your doctor. He or she can provide you with information about the risks and benefits of the HPV vaccine, if you want to learn more!
