My Name is Mateo Zambrano, I’m a second-year dual degree student at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine pursuing an MD/MPH. I’ve been a health educator at YES for the better part of my summer applying my knowledge of health and public health.

This week during the YES! boot camp the students were hard at work finishing their final advocacy projects, developing their presentations and helping each other select pictures for their photovoice gallery.

As part of our NuFit curriculum students learned about vegetarian meal options by cooking a vegan stew. Additionally the peer health educators completed the fitness challenge developed by Raheem, results are still pending on next week’s basketball game.
